Mairead McGuinness, MEP and first Vice-President of the European Parliament, has expressed her deepest sympathy to the Donnellan family on the death of leading Fine Gael Meath activist Pat Donnellan who died at the weekend.
“Pat was gentle and kind with great analytical skills. He devoted a great deal of his time and heart to advancing the cause of the Fine Gael party. He was universally respected.
“He was an absolute treasure and a joy to meet on every occasion. He will be so deeply missed by his family, particularly his wife Ann from whom he was inseparable.
“The party has lost an irreplaceable activist. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends at this sad time,” she said.
